Chef Ignazio Gianfranco Munna is a native of Monreale, Sicily – a region rich in gastronomic traditions. Munna then mastered creativity and presentation in other styles of cuisine by studying in France and Germany before returning to Italy to mentor with Chef Giacomo D'Aleo, where he learned about Mediterranean cuisine in great detail. He brought his lifelong culinary experience to the United States in 1996, and currently lives in Columbia, Missouri.
